On the morning of August 3, approved by the State Council, the mobilization meeting for the full commencement of the construction of the main project of ------- Jinsha River Baihetan Hydropower Station, which is the world's second largest hydropower plant in terms of installed capacity and the world's first hydropower plant in terms of scale of construction, was grandly convened at the dam site.
This is another major milestone in the history of hydropower in China and even in the world, following the completion and commissioning of the Jinsha River Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba hydropower plants and the approval of the construction of the Wudongde hydropower plant.
Baihetan Hydropower Station is located in Ningnan County, Sichuan Province and Qiaojia County, Yunnan Province, is the second step of the development of the lower reaches of the Jinsha River, the second step of the development of the river section of the lower reaches of the Jinsha River, with a power generation, both flood control, sand, improve downstream shipping conditions and development of the reservoir area of the comprehensive benefits of navigation and so on. Reservoir normal storage level of 825 meters, the corresponding capacity of 20.6 billion cubic meters underground plant equipped with 16 units, the initial proposed installed capacity of 16 million kilowatts, the average multi-year power generation capacity of 60.24 billion kilowatt-hours. The power station plans to start the main project officially in 2013, the first batch of units in 2018 to generate electricity, and the project will be completed in 2022. Upon completion, the power station will be the second largest hydropower station in China after the Three Gorges Hydropower Station.
The barrage is a concrete double-curved arch dam with a height of 289m, a crest elevation of 834m, a top width of 13m and a maximum bottom width of 72m, with a total concrete pouring capacity of 8.78 million cubic meters.
The project is equipped with the largest concrete production system in China, 4 sets of HL400-4F5000L mixing building designed and manufactured by our company; the mixing building is the largest self-fall concrete mixing building in China developed independently on the basis of summarizing the experience of designing and using HL240-4F3000L, HL420-2S6000L and other buildings, equipped with the largest high pivot point self-fall mixer JF5000, which can completely replace the imported products, and the maximum allowable aggregate size of 150mm. It is equipped with the largest high pivot point self-falling mixer JF5000 with independent intellectual property rights, which can completely replace the imported products. The mixer's feeding volume is 8m3, discharging volume is 5m3, and the maximum permissible aggregate particle size is 150mm.
