The Saint gavan hydropower station is the first hydro power project under construction by the Sinohydro 6th Bureau in Peru, with a total installed capacity of 209.3 megawatts. Two impulse hydro generators are installed in the underground powerhouse, with a designed annual power generation of 1.25 billion kilowatt hours.
