The Nam Ou River Cascade Hydropower Station project in Laos will be developed in two phases according to the "one reservoir and seven stages" plan, with a total installed capacity of 1.272 million kilowatts and an average annual power generation of about 5 billion kilowatt hours. At present, all seven level hydropower stations have been put into operation for power generation, which will ensure 12% of Laos' electricity supply and help Laos build a "Southeast Asian battery".
