The Baise Water Conservancy Hub is located on the upper reaches of the Yujiang River in Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. The dam site is 22 kilometers upstream of Baise City, and it is a large-scale water conservancy hub mainly for flood control, as well as comprehensive utilization of power generation, irrigation, shipping, water supply, etc. It is a large-scale backbone water conservancy project to harness and develop the Yujiang River in the comprehensive utilization plan of the the Pearl River basin. The project has been included in the "Tenth Five Year Plan" of China, and is one of the important landmark projects for the country to implement the western development.
